One of the big spiritual goals is to find happiness within—cultivating a sense of security and contentment that doesn’t rely on external validation. When we gain a deeper understanding of our path, we reconnect with who we’re truly meant to be in this world, allowing inner contentment to naturally manifest in our lives.

Āyurveda, rooted in ancient India, is a profound system of healing that many scholars believe to be the oldest extant healing science on Earth. The word Āyurveda comes from Āyuh (life) and Veda (knowledge), meaning "the science of life." It offers guidance on living a long, healthy, and fulfilling life, making it not just a medical system but also an art for designing and enriching our daily existence.
What makes Āyurveda truly unique is its recognition that "every individual is indivisible" (Dr. Vasant Lad). Through the science of the three doshas and the five elements, Āyurveda tailors healing plans to each person's unique constitution, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
The five elements (Panchamahabhutas) Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth compose the three doshas Vata, Pitta and Kapha. All matter ius made up of these elements and doshas. We all have them in us in different proportions. They can get out of balance due to our lifestlye, diet or life events and ayurvedic practices bring the doshas back into alignment.
Jyotisha (Vedic Astrology) and Āyurveda naturally go hand in hand.
Both systems recognize that true healing extends beyond the physical. Ayurveda employs therapies like pranayama, meditation, and yoga to balance subtle energies, while Jyotisha identifies planetary influences on those energies, offering tools to harmonize them.
In my Jyotisha consultations, I incorporate Āyurvedic remedies when appropriate and if my client is open to it. While I don’t provide a full Ayurvedic consultation during a reading, I offer simple lifestyle and dietary tips when the chart indicates they could be beneficial. For example, if I see that the 6th house of digestion is under stress, I might suggest herbal remedies or detoxification practices. Similarly, if the chart reveals emotional turbulence—perhaps through the moon or influences on the 8th or 4th house—I may recommend a breathing technique or meditation to support the client during that period.
I was blessed enough to be able to study at the feet of the world-renowned Ayurvedic physician Dr. Vasant Lad full-time for two years. He changed my life forever, and I am eternally grateful for his guidance. As he taught me how to apply the wisdom of Ayurveda in my daily life, his main teachings were always about creating loving relationships.
In addition to Dr. Lad's tutelage in Jyotisha and Āyurveda, I study Vedic Astrology under the guidance of Penny Farrow (in the tradition of Hart de Fouw) and Mahadev Levine.
I was initiated into the lineage of Swami Shivananda, living in an ashram full-time after graduating college in my mid-twenties. From this lineage and Dr. Vasant Lad’s teachings, I teach Yoga, meditation, and Pranayama.
I also feel deeply grateful for the guidance, protection and grace of Sri Mata Amritananda Mayi (Amma).

Through my training as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, I provide a compassionate yet clear approach that guides you towards a journey that is focused on finding your own resilience. I try to work with a person-centered approach that holds positive regard and genuine understanding for the the client. Together, these tools help you realign with your inner compass, and rediscover your connection to your Higher Self.
